Our new approach to non-surgical facial contouring
The future of skin rejuvenation has arrived in Melbourne, and you'll find it at Victorian Dermal Group.
April 8th marked the official launch of the groundbreaking Ultraformer MPT with our exclusive UltraNight party. Its cutting-edge technology represents the biggest leap forward in non-surgical skincare, and we're among the first clinics in Melbourne to bring this breakthrough treatment to our clients.
How the Ultraformer MPT works
The Ultraformer MPT uses next-generation High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) delivered through micro-pulsed technology.
This means the treatment targets deeper skin layers to stimulate natural collagen production. Rather than working on the surface, it reaches foundational layers of the skin in a way that’s non-invasive, since there are no incisions.
To understand what makes the Ultraformer MPT so innovative, it helps to know how traditional HIFU works. Standard HIFU sends focused ultrasound energy in one continuous stream, which can create hot spots and mild discomfort. The MPT technology takes that same energy and breaks it into microscopic pulses. Energy is distributed evenly for better outcomes with enhanced comfort.

When speaking to Vogue about the latest innovations in aesthetic technology, our Clinical Director, Goran Gacovski, explained:
“It uses a combination of micro and macro-focused ultrasound to deliver energy at specific depths. It even gets down to the SMAS layer, which is a layer that plays an important role in skin support and facial structure. But what makes it truly innovative is that it's non-invasive.”

Concerns the Ultraformer MPT can target
The breakthrough Ultraformer MPT technology also enables the simultaneous targeting of multiple skin layers, a capability not previously possible with earlier-generation Ultraformer devices.
As a result, it can address several skin concerns in a single treatment session:
- Volume loss: Can tighten loose skin on the face (cheeks, jawline, neck).
- Fine lines: Can reduce the appearance of fine lines, particularly around the eyes and mouth.
- Jawline definition: Can contour and define the jawline and reduce the appearance of jowls and double chin.
- Facial lifting: Can result in a soft lift of the brows and cheeks.
- Skin texture and firmness: May improve overall skin texture and firmness by stimulating collagen production.
What to expect
During the 90-minute treatment, most people feel gentle warmth and slight tingling. The beauty is that your own collagen does the work. Results develop naturally over 3-6 months, so you'll look noticeably refreshed in good time, rather than dramatically altered overnight.
Most people achieve results with a single treatment session, though some may benefit from a second or third session 6-12 months later, depending on the lifting and tightening they’re looking for.
Results typically last 12-18 months, with some clients seeing benefits for up to two years. Because the treatment stimulates your body's natural collagen production, the improvements continue to develop even after the initial healing period, then gradually and naturally fade over time.
Who it's for
The treatment is designed for people, usually in their 30s or 40s, noticing early loss of definition and general facial laxity.
It's ideal if you want a skin-deep treatment without invasive interventions, lengthy recovery, or time off work. The treatment works particularly well for jowls, loose neck skin, softening jawlines, and that general feeling that your face needs a gentle "lift".
A consultation is required to determine if you're a suitable candidate for treatment.
