ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS FOR FOREHEAD WRINKLES

Our forehead anti-wrinkle injections work by plumping the horizontal and vertical lines with hyaluronic acid. Don’t let the ‘acid’ in the name worry you — this substance is naturally produced by the body and used for precisely the same reason we use it. Namely, to keep skin tissue plump, hydrated and healthy.

Forehead wrinkles are primarily caused by contractions of the facial muscles, particularly the frontalis muscle which covers the forehead. As the skin’s elasticity depletes, dynamic facial wrinkles will ‘etch’ themselves permanently into the skin, becoming static and visible at all times.

• 1 week prior: You must stop engaging in any skin treatments. These would include chemical peels and exfoliation treatments.
• 48 hours prior: You must stop drinking alcohol and exercising. The increased blood flow can last for days and lead to excessive bleeding and bruising after the procedure.
• 24 hours prior: You must cut out alcohol and blood-thinning medication. As blood thinners, these can also cause excessive bruising and extend the time needed to heal.

• On the day, you must arrive without any makeup, moisturiser or product on your face and forehead.
• Your procedure will be conducted by either our doctors or registered nurses. An anaesthetic cream will be applied to the injection areas to minimise any discomfort. 
• The injection treatment will commence and be complete within minutes. 
• After the procedure, we may ask you to remain for a brief monitoring period to ensure the filler has settled and no significant bruising has occurred.

Your forehead will be particularly sensitive for the first 24 hours after your treatment, but you must continue gently caring for it for up to a week if necessary.

• Continue to avoid alcohol and anti-inflammatory medication.
• Use a cold pack to gently massage any minor swelling at the injection sites.
• Use a clean cloth to massage any uneven bumps in the filler gently. Minor unevenness is natural, and the filler will quickly settle.
