Within two weeks before your treatment, you must:
On the day of your appointment, you must arrive with clean skin, free of any makeup or skin products.
The TCA treatment will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
We will apply a numbing cream to the skin we are treating at your request. While the procedure is relatively painless, more potent doses can produce a slight, noticeable stinging as it exfoliates the skin.
Once we apply the TCA mask to your face, you must wait for it to take effect. After the necessary time has elapsed, you will be ready to leave.
The full effects of your TCA treatment will become evident in three to four days. At first, you will notice a significant redness on your freshly exfoliated skin. This is perfectly natural and will soon clear.
Your new skin will naturally be quite sensitive. It will need to be thoroughly moisturised daily, and you will also need to avoid strong sunlight. With less pigment, your skin will be more prone to sunburn.

Our TCA peel price depends on the strength of the TCA solution used and how much you need to treat the desired area.
We can only offer you a price after you have booked an initial consultation with our aestheticians.
The primary ingredient in TCA peels is trichloroacetic acid. But, a TCA skin peel solution is not pure TCA acid. The acid level in the solution is labelled as a percentage; the higher the percentage, the stronger the solution and the deeper the level of exfoliation.
The other ingredients in the solution vary by the product manufacturer but will usually include safe, neutral chemicals, skin moisturisers and essential vitamins to aid your skin’s healing process.
You can repeat your TCA treatment every 4-6 weeks.
Treatment frequency depends on the state of your skin. After a chemical treatment, we must allow enough time for the treated skin to heal fully so it is strong enough for another round.
Your recovery time between treatments depends on several factors, including the acidic strength of the TCA solution used during your last treatment and the level of care you’ve taken with your skin since.

In the first few days after your treatment, the superficial layers of skin will flake and peel off. This is a necessary part of the process. Once the dead skin is gone, you’ll see the fresh, glowing skin beneath.
Do not apply chemical peels to your TCA-treated skin for at least a week after treatment.
Fresh skin is extremely sensitive to chemicals and even sunlight. That’s why we strongly recommend you do not apply any chemical treatments to your skin for a week to give it time to heal and strengthen.
