You can expect the injection points to feel slightly tender and itchy for the first few days after your appointment. This is natural. You may also feel small bumps and wrinkles in the filler beneath the skin — this is also natural and nothing to worry about. Lightly massage the uneven area with a cool wet cloth or cold press to help the filler settle.

The skin around your jawline may feel tight for the first few days following your session. It won’t feel painful, but it may be uncomfortable. You may also experience a mild redness and itchiness around your injection sites. All of this is normal. The tightness will relieve as the dermal filler settles into your skin and cheek, jaw and neck muscles. And the itchiness will fade as the injections heal. This should all be over in 3-4 days.
A non-surgical jawline lift using dermal fillers should last approximately a year. The skin and muscles around your jaw experience a lot of movement, which will help your body metabolise the filler quicker.
If you feel that your fillers have started to fade, we can schedule another jaw lift appointment.
The hyaluronic acid we use in our dermal fillers is highly tolerable and easily metabolised, so there’s a very low chance that you’ll experience any reaction to it. You may experience some discomfort from the injections themselves, which can become mildly itchy and red as they heal. You can alleviate this discomfort by keeping your jaw clean and moisturised.
