Non-invasive facial contouring

Non-invasive facial contouring allows you to adjust the shape of your facial features without resorting to surgery. We can plump thinning lips, contour cheekbones, lift sagging cheeks, extend receding jaws and reshape practically every feature.

At the Victorian Dermal Group, we specialise in three non-surgical alternative treatments.

1. Dermal fillers | we use hyaluronic acid injectables to plump, lift and shape features.
2. Anti-wrinkle injections | we use non-toxic muscle relaxants to prevent wrinkle formation and muscle stress.
3. Ultraformer | we use ultrasound technology to break down fat molecules and kickstart collagen production.

The obvious benefit of our non-invasive treatments is that they spare you from having to go under the knife — which can be painful as well as costly. But it’s just as important to remember that not only do they help you achieve your aesthetic goals, but they also promote collagen and elastin production to leave your skin healthier than before.

Once you and your doctor have settled on a treatment plan, they’ll give you detailed preparation instructions. These treatment-dependent instructions are designed to help you get the best possible results and to help you recover quicker following treatment.

Our instructions are likely to include:

• Avoid alcohol.
• Avoid blood-thinning medications.
• Avoid exercise.
• Avoid intensive skin treatments (such as chemical and laser treatments).

Here’s how we’ll schedule the day.

• We will ask you to arrive with a clean face free of any product.
• You and your doctor will review your treatment plan and address any last-minute questions or concerns.
• We will give your face a final clean. If you are having injectable treatments, we can apply an anesthetic cream to your skin to minimise discomfort.
• Your doctor will conduct the procedure.

Following the procedure, we may ask you to remain in the clinic for a brief monitoring period. After that, you’ll be free to continue your day, as non-surgical face contouring requires little to no downtime.

Whatever combination of non-invasive treatments we use, your skin will likely be tender for 3-4 days following your contouring procedure. You may experience mild redness or itching, and there is a slight chance of bruising around the injection points.

Your doctor will give you treatment-specific aftercare instructions. These may include:

• Keep your skin clean and moisturised. We recommend using the Hydra-vital light moisturising gel cream. 
• Do not sleep on your face.
• You may feel small bumps in your filler. This is natural — the filler is just settling into the tissue. You can even out lumps by gently massaging your skin with a cold press.
