The benefits of hyaluronic acid filler treatments

HA dermal filler injections are a non-surgical, minimally invasive and highly effective treatment for a wide range of skin concerns.

A non-invasive treatment for lines and wrinkles

As we age, our skin loses its natural elasticity and moisture, which can cause lines and wrinkles to form. Hyaluronic acid (HA) injectable dermal fillers provide a non-invasive way to treat these concerns.

Our renowned doctors

Our medically trained and highly accredited doctors are lauded across our industry for the quality of our work. But what we’re most proud of is the foundation of trust we’ve built with our long-term clients.

How hyaluronic acid fillers work

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that naturally occurs in the skin and helps keep the skin hydrated and plump. As we age, our bodies produce less hyaluronic acid, which can lead to dehydration and a loss of volume in the skin.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are injected into the skin to help replenish lost hyaluronic acid and restore a youthful appearance. The filler attracts and binds water molecules, resulting in immediate hydration and volume. With regular dermal filler treatments, the filler can help to slow down the aging look and keep a youthful appearance.

How It Works

Why would someone need hyaluronic acid fillers?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are a popular choice for people who want to reduce the signs of aging, including the loss of volume and the spread of wrinkles.

HA fillers are also a safe and non-surgical bio-remodelling treatment. They can be used to contour and shape particular features of your face to suit your preferred aesthetic.

Who It’s For

Preparing for your dermal filler treatment

Before undergoing treatment, you should do a few things to ensure the best possible results.

  • Avoid taking blood-thinning medication for at least two weeks before your appointment to prevent bruising and swelling.
  • Do not drink alcohol within 24 hours of the appointment because alcohol can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising.
  • Clean your skin thoroughly before your appointment to reduce the risk of infection.

Following these simple tips can help ensure your hyaluronic acid filler treatment goes smoothly and achieves the desired results.

Preparation

We make your safety our top priority

Your appointment begins with a review of the treatment plan to ensure you’re totally aware of what to expect.

Once you have decided to proceed with treatment, we will cleanse your skin and may need to numb the injection site with an anaesthetic cream. Then, we will carefully inject the filler into your skin.

The entire process usually takes less than 30 minutes, and the results are immediate. We recommend you plan to stay for an hour so that we can briefly monitor you for adverse reactions.

On the day

Caring for your skin after hyaluronic acid filler treatments

Immediately after your treatment, you may experience some redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection sites. This is natural; these side effects typically resolve within a few days. The filler settles completely within two weeks.

Avoid creams, skin care products, foundation or sunblock on the same day of treatment. For the first 24 hours after treatment, avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and exposure to sunlight.  These can all cause swelling and increase the risk of bruising. After that, wear sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure for at least a week.

Aftercare

Hyaluronic acid eye filler

The eyes are often the first place that people notice signs of aging. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be used to plump up the skin and reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, drooping lids, eye bags and other wrinkles around the eyes.

Hyaluronic acid cheek filler

Getting hyaluronic acid fillers in the cheeks is a great way to add volume and definition to your face. Fillers are injected into the skin to plump up areas that have lost collagen and elastin, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

Hyaluronic acid lip filler

Fillers can be used to add fullness and definition to thin lips, giving them a lush, voluptuous look. Injectable fillers can also help to soften the appearance of fine lines around the mouth.

HA dermal fillers for specific facial features

We can target every area of your face to reduce wrinkles and rejuvenate sallow skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are hyaluronic acid fillers?

Hyaluronic acid fillers, also known as HA fillers, are dermal fillers used to add volume and hydration to the skin. The acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body and helps to keep the skin plump and hydrated. However, as we age, our bodies produce less and less of it. As a result, we often see a decrease in skin elasticity and an increase in wrinkles. HA fillers can help to correct these signs of aging by adding volume to the skin and attracting and retaining moisture.

Is hyaluronic acid in lip filler?

Lip filler is a popular cosmetic treatment that can create fuller, more youthful-looking lips. Many different types of filler can be used for this purpose, but hyaluronic acid is one of the most commonly used. When injected into the lips, it adds volume and creates a subtle yet noticeable difference. In addition, hyaluronic acid lip fillers are very safe, with minimal side effects.

Are hyaluronic acid fillers safe?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are extremely safe, with a vanishingly small risk of adverse effects.

Can you have hyaluronic acid fillers when pregnant?

There are no studies on the safety of fillers in pregnancy. Therefore, it is not recommended. As it is a foreign body being injected, it is safest to wait until after pregnancy and breastfeeding are completed before considering HA treatments.

Do hyaluronic acid fillers dissolve?

Because hyaluronic acid is a natural product of your body, it can be easily broken down and absorbed.

We can also dissolve your hyaluronic acid fillers at any time upon your request.

How long do hyaluronic acid fillers last?

The answer depends on the type of filler used and the area injected. The average lifespan of the visible appearance of hyaluronic acid filler is 6 to 24 months.

The area injected will also affect how long the filler lasts. Fillers injected into the lips tend to dissipate faster than those injected into the cheeks. The cheeks and under eye seem to last the longest.
