WE ARE OPEN AND TAKING NEW BOOKINGS!
Dermal fillers can be used to add volume to your cheeks and lips, and smooth out any unwanted lines.
As we age, our skin loses the ability to 'bounce back', and begins to sag. This can be a source of distress for some — which is why we've invested in a range of non-invasive aesthetic surgical procedures.
Dermal fillers are smooth injectable gels comprised of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA imitates a sugar molecule which occurs naturally in your body's skin cell production. When we inject this substance into your skin, it fills in space where you've lost volume.
HA also attracts water, so the areas which have been injected will become more hydrated — leaving you fresh-faced and youthful-looking.
If you've noticed a loss of volume in your cheeks, or your lips have become noticeably smaller in recent years, then you'd be a good candidate for dermal fillers.
Not a problem for you? Sometimes, people get dermal fillers to improve their bone structure. Some clients have weak bone structures around the cheek or jaw, and book dermal filler treatments to plump and define these areas.
After we assess your skin, and created your treatment plan, we'll create an appointment for your treatment. You'll arrive on the day, with no makeup on the area to be treated. Dr. Mobin Master or Registered Nurse Kristie Phillips, will apply a topical cream to numb the area. Then, using a needle, they'll insert the dermal filler solution in a series of tiny punctures.
You'll need to do a couple of things to prepare your skin before you receive the treatment.
We'll give you a more detailed document with preparation and aftercare instructions when you come in for your consultation.
Our clients love the results of our dermal filler treatments — see for yourself.
We'd be lying if we said it was completely comfortable. When we insert dermal fillers, our clients sometimes report the feeling of a mosquito bite or slightly more intense stinging sensations.
We mostly recommend dermal fillers to firm up the jawline and cheeks. We also use it to treat bags below the eyes, or puffiness in that area.
It depends on the product, and the location. The parts of your face which experience a lot of movement are the most likely to dissolve the quickest. At the maximum effect, our dermal fillers last anywhere between 6 months to 18 months, according to the product used.
If you're getting dermal fillers for the first time, we'll start with a more temporary filler. Then, if you decide it's for you (and many of our clients do), we can move onto a longer-lasting product.
We'll need to conduct the initial consultation before making any decisions. Getting work done under the eyes is dependent on so many variables — age, skin type, diet, lifestyle, genetics... It's not a one-size-fits-all scenario.
Usually, we'll treat the cheeks and side of the eyes to draw attention away from the area beneath your eyes. We never fill in teardrops, or anywhere near the teardrops, due to complications.
