Skin needling uses tiny, fine needles to create punctures in your skin and induce collagen production. It's virtually painless, and an effective way to restore your skin to its natural beauty.
Skin needling makes tiny, precise punctures in the superficial layers of your skin. This prompts your body to naturally produce more collagen and elastin fibres, resulting in tighter, brighter skin and an even-toned complexion.
Skin needling reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and heals acne scarring. It also reduces the appearance of skin pigmentation, enlarged pores, and stretch marks. If you're concerned about any of these skin conditions, you're a candidate for skin needling treatment.
We use two methods for skin needling. Our primary method is the m-pen (short for micropen). It's a handheld device with oscillating needles which move up and down across the skin. It only penetrates a few layers of the dermis.
We also use a device called Cynosure Vivace RF, which utilises skin needling and radiofrequency energy to tighten your skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, pigmentation, scarring, and sagging skin.
Preparation before microneedling treatment is important for maximising results of the procedure. We'll provide you with comprehensive advice on how to prepare your skin when you book your treatment. We may recommend using vitamin serums in the lead-up to your appointment date, and let you know what you can expect during the session.
Immediately following your procedure, you may feel a tight tingling sensation. Mild swelling and redness may present for one to two days. You can reduce swelling by applying a cold compress to the treated area, and avoiding hot showers. These are very normal side effects of microneedling and should pass quickly.
We'll provide you with more information regarding aftercare when you book your appointment. If you have any questions or concerns at any point post-treatment, phone or email us and we'll get back to you straight away.
Here are just a few of our client's transformations.
Laurina is a fashion and beauty influencer, who is about to start her own business. She's constantly on show, attending events and promoting products on Instagram. She takes the time out of her schedule to get m-pen treatments to make sure she has bright and radiant skin.
Every time I've visited VDG, it has been a great experience. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. From consultation through to treatment, I cannot fault them. I even received follow-up phone calls after the initial treatments to ensure everything was okay.
I was apprehensive about visiting a new clinic, but I was not getting the results I wanted at my regular clinic, so I made the swap. I am so happy my makeup artist recommended your clinic. I have been confident in my treatments moving forward and am excited to see some results.
I started visiting Vic Dermal Group after hearing amazing reviews. All the staff were wonderful and professional. And the treatment I received has left me with glowing skin. I have kept going back as a consequence.
I met Derya during my first consultation, and she did a full skin analysis of my face and explained to me the different treatments that would improve my skin pigmentation and texture.
She was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Looking forward to starting my treatment at the clinic.
Treatment times vary, but usually our skin needling sessions take between 30 to 60 minutes, regardless of which treatment you have booked.
Our clients see a noticeable change in their skin condition within weeks of their first procedure. Your skin will become more radiant, as it continues to heal and produce collagen.
The number of sessions you'll need to achieve maximum results will depend on your unique skin type and lifestyle. Usually, our clients book three to four skin needling sessions for mild scarring and wrinkles. More sessions may be required, if the skin condition is more prominent.
After receiving RF Infini microneedling, you can return to work straight away. If you book the m-pen procedure, you may want to take the rest of the day off to recover, and ice your skin.
